WALLY'S CAFE
a comedy by Sam Bobrick and Ron Clark
MAY 30- 31 JUNE 1, 6-7-8 2025
Wally and Louise, in their late 20's, have purchased a small roadside cafe in California right near the Nevada border. The cafe suggests the shape of a hamburger. The top half of the hamburger bun is the living quarters, and tomorrow is the big day...opening day of the restaurant. A woman, Janet, enters before they open, hoping to go to Hollywood and audition. She decides to work there instead, and the rest is all about fun, experiences, and the woes of owning a restaurant, living with Wally, and Louise's concerns about living in the middle of nowhere. The play progresses through the years and Wally and Louise stick it out through thick and thin. They have competition across the highway, Bernie's, and that restaurant is doing much better. Janet eventually moves on, and Wally and Louise decide to sell the cafe in their mid-seventies. As comedic as possible, we live with Wally and Louise, through their trials and tribulations, until a surprise fills us with love and compassion to the end.
